2nd one is the only one that works. but it looks better - would still rerender your building - or photoshop the edges - it looks like your floor plates are paper thin.
As for your night shot - could be a good idea but us a different view. For night shot, much of your building would be dark and only your glass would be illuminated from the inside - and the same would be true for other neighboring buildings so you don't need to plunge entire foreground into total darkness to make the night shot work. look at a nighttime photograph and learn which parts to emphasize.
