So here is our new exhibiton space.
It's right side of the enterence, and the dimension is 4m x 3m (i'll post simple dwg of the room later).

Discussing about layout of the city etc...
Things to do...
1: Build the base of the site inc. buildings etc..
2: Street signs +streets
3: Cars
4: Book for the unit (B5)
5: Prepare the posters - one rendering from each student will be printed out and mounted on A2 boards. For RIBA and our exhibition
Today, we have done:
-measure all the dimension of the models we are going to put on the site
-calculating the dimension of the street from 1:1000 to 1:10
-discussing / sketching about how we actually gonna make the site and put models together (slope, flat, stair-like etc??)
-started working on the street signs
Tomorrow, we will finalize the layout of the models, materials etc..
Details will be posted on the blog later.
Also, for scheduling and giving tasks to each person, I am thinking of working on online calender so we can all see what to do for the exhibition. What do u think?

We have 58 models to place in Inter 3 city model.
We just started to arrange model of same scale in one row and try to see how many model we have for each scale.
1:300-500 will be hot spot where all the great model will be situated! !!
In some scale we have much more than other so we might make close scale in same row to see balance.

Very rough dwg of our exhibition space (windows are not in scale).
so our usable space is apx. 3m x 4.1m..

So... this is some photos from DAY2.
We worked on finalizing the layout of the city as it is posted on the previous one.
Through brain storming and several sketches, we managed to have the base of the layout of all the models and the form of the city.
Eyal finished working on the CNC file for Gehry building.
Naoki did detailed sketches etc...
Katerina and I were working on the Rhino file for the site.
We will show the layout of the models and ideas we got (also some questions came up during our discussion).

So we were still working on the site model... sadly,,, urban design was not my thing (sayaka).
Katerina was helping Kevin's site model for RIBA,
Eyal was working on the freeway,
and Naoki and Sayaka were working on the site model (grid, base etc...)
With Monia's help, finally, we got overall ideas for our site.
NOTE: all of us have to send rendering images to Katerina (good ones and the best ones) by Tuesday (a day after the 3rd year table)! We have to make A2 posters for RIBA and our exhibition

Here are the screen shots of the site model from today's tutorial.
All the dimensions are fixed and some missing models are added.
This weekend, Naoki and I will meet at school tomorrow to discuss more about the details etc, and I will send e-mail to all the 2nd years about what to do for the next few days :)
Have a good weekend
Some photos from today's exhibition work.
The design for the site model is ready, and we are finishing up CNC file, laser cutter files etc...
By tomorrow morning, the CNC file will be ready, and by 15:00, all the laser cutter files for street details, road signs, cars etc... will be ready.
We'll keep posting
