Better??

I gave the floor planes the same material and colour as the wall!! is it better than before?

I gave the floor planes the same material and colour as the wall!! is it better than before?

These are two introductory pages for the project showing the site, the strategy of tower forming and sun angle focusing on!
Whatdo you think?
This rendering was set for 7 hours!! i dont know why it came out like this! its eith all towers and wall lines on all towers! Maybe too heavy?? HEEEEEEELPPPPPPPPP

These are the pages and the layout of the superwall before It shows first how the line and the steps i took in order to design the wall and at the bottom the CNC preparation files for cutting

Then this will continue with some pictures of the model from hooke park

And after my pages for the superflat two A3 pages of how i continued the line down to one of the legs and how it split in addition later on to the sections and plans i have. On the bottom right i also sjow how on each floor the wall is extended back 3 metres

What do you think???

6 plans each cutting through different floor

Plan of wall separation of floors 6 - 7 - 8

Plan of wall separation of floors 9 - 10 - 11

Front of the glass border and looking in

Behind the glass and looking in
The pictures are not so good but i will take better ones

Still not done! The glass border on the section needs to be shown + line weights

The laser cut file i sent to 2MZ! it will be ready tomorrow hopefully!

The red line represents the cutting line and the rest the landscape formed in the flat only for the floor! the lines hopefully will continue at the back to show how the walls at the back are shaped as well as the ceiling!! Its not really clear because of the lineweights buit there is still a lot of work to go!!

It still needs work but its a test to see the space between the towers and how this could be shown in an interesting way!!

Getting there still more details to be added

the incomplete new version for the division of the flats. This is what i am building in hooke park. the height of which is 72 cm, lenght 50 cm, ans width 34 cm. What do you think??!!
Detail in between two floors of how the wall to divide the floors into the flats is going to look like taking into consideration the lines and shape of the floors from the exterior
these are some print screens from rhino to show so far what i have done. I am going to concentrate on a detail between 3-4 floors and maybe where this wall splits into two parts to form 2 flats. Thsese will be extended backwards to divide the inner space not only the balconies as shown

This shows the line that follows the shape of the balconies and how this line will look

This is a testing i did to see how the line looks when it is projected onto the tower

As seen from elevation a first try to model the idea of dividing the inner space into flats using the exterior. The lines will evntually merge with the ceiling an the floor of some levels.
The levels are indicated by the horizontal lines on the last image. the parts that are left white represent a wall.

The red line indicates the original shape of the floor, the black is the extended floor and the blue is the glass boundary

Plan of all floors

I can't blog the work i have done today and am trying to find an internet cafe or else i will go tomorrow to school and do it there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Each floor is now changing according to the terraces, balconies and canopies that will be added to each apartment
I picked to start with tower 10 and started with some sections of how i thought it was more logical for these balconies to be formed in order to cut light at specific hours which might be too strong etc

Tower 10
Sections of floor 4

Sections of floor 13

Sections of floor 27

But afterwards i realised that the teraces could take up some of the space of the flat so i modelled how the floors would be shaped in order to allow light to the floors below, how the canopies ang glass would be shaped to capture or cut out some sunlight at particular times of the day

floor 4

floor 13

floor 27
after the process i went through of cutting the non active parts of each tower i measured the area before these parts were cut out and the area after and this was gained as a height to each tower accordingly as shown below each tower has gained a different height.
original height of the block and how much each tower has been raised

this is an analytical version of the drawings below which shows in more detail my process
This would help me to see which parts of the towers are illuminatted with light and those that are not are going to be cut out in order to allow more sunllight into the block and into the apartments

Three sections through the site showing the around the site towers and how these affect the light rays from the sun between the times i chose i wanted sunlight in my site. (12am-18pm)

After we went on our unit trip i realised that there are some surrounding buildings and by measuring the floors of each tower around my site i made a study to see how these affect the passage of light into the site
