try to set up a bit of a zoomed in view where you map a projection onto the surface - you can then do shots from different angles - oblique and front on to show how the projection can be viewed normally perpendicular to the surface, but becomes more of an illuminated texture when viewed from the site (due to cup depth distortion, etc etc).
