Education of Container

Now I'm developing a device to control performance of panel since I havn't divided my floor as array of containers so idea is to use overlapping panel to build loose boundary between units by user orientated performance of panels. The device (look pretty crude....) reads rotation value of each joint and feed it to Maya and 3d model in Maya react to the device.
This is first try out and I guess this method will apply to making of doll house kind of model in 3rd term with bit of intelligence.

Loose folding for Superwall

DSC03471.jpg

After inspirational tutorial with Nathasha on Friday I come up with an idea of performance of panel can incorporate of folding technique I developed in first term. As shown in previous post my old way of folding was of square and regular now I'm seeking folding with triangulation and irregular within certain rule. Also new system of flap can provide more varieties in folding (pocket, inperfect overlapping of flaps, etc.....)Imagine to have paper in materiality of sheet metal..... That's what I'm doing in Hooke. I'll make paper mock up for final presentation on this coming Friday.

I chose most complex joint of escalator core as well as structural core and will work in scale of 1:20 since original is 8 m high.

I'm making my 1:25 model of escalator core in 2 part, scafolding and paneling.

Technique of lamination gave me new scope of folding.
Butterfly like sheets are unfolded plan of 3 panels together (last pic from Rhino screen shot)and will be laminated and folded tomorrow.
Perforation pattern appear on sheets are for getting tighter crv (edge) by having less surface area.
It weaken the sheet at the same time so I have to negotiate with curve I want to have and strength of material.

Thank you for helping me doing CNC for Charlie and mama Monia !!
