planning

Now that I have a solid form i am trying to think of a way that the solid becomes inhabited so that it becomes didactic in explaining the mobius, showing two sorts of conditions or at points an abrupt shift from one kind of space to another. I made a few models that would help me better understand the possible spatial qualities of the space.

These models are made of strips of accetate and the thickening (noding) of many can create a more solid space.

Trying to look at both plans and sections to see how possibly monastic 'neighbourhoods' could occur. The idea of neighbourhoods or clusters of imaginabely cloisters was further driven by Van Der Laan's Architectonic Space. Just started reading it, very intersting and its helpin me tighten my manifesto.

VDL

Van Der Laan(ian), approach to the cell. From Domain/Courtyard/Cell, how that as an organizational technique could work in my space.

Bi-Polar

From the last step I ended up with 'rose window' type patterns> clearly meant to be, manifestation of the gothic i.e true christian architecture. Just seeing how the patterns could work in 3 dimensioinal space, possibly creating pockets for inhabitation, or maybe leading to a skin according to the density > intricacy of the pattern > more intricate for more private, less intricate > larger openings more public? To be seen later. For now celestial spheres!
