the whole thing still looks super fake, needs a lot of tweaking...

it no work!
the camera is wrong, change it, avoid those symmetries, look left or right not in the middle or it looks to distorted.
then yes material...hmmmm
also for you, consider the option to take an awesome (awesome) picture of your stl model and collage it on site. It can be really good, give it a fast trial and blog it before Tuesday so we can see what we can do.

natasha:

unfortunately natasha broke his most 'awesome' site model so he can't really take such a great picture.....but use mine - i think i gave you all right? if you don't have the views, remind me and i'll bring my hard drive on tues and you can copy them if you haven't already. have some of your model (pre-breakage) nice views from close-flying helicopter and maybe some from the ground. but yes, i think it would be better than the rendering in the generic gray site. otherwise, image is too pink. if you continue with this option, do like akis and make your existing builidngs much darker so they disappear and highlight your project.

natasha:

oh, and also think you should manipulate your groundscape a bit more - both inside and outside your building loop. in courtyard some parts of it should be as individuated as some of your cells. at the moment you've only created rather large general (and quasi-generic) shapes/spaces. c'mon - go for it! I know it's a pain, but it'll make the site plan/views much more interesting and convincing. doesn't need much - just a bit of high-res modelling - go steal some of sayaka's...
