tokyo international forum by raffie vinoly. a snip at US$1,500,000,000. and certainly v cool.

from atelier bow wow. i really liked this building: set into the park; grass on roof; wavy form; cones made of tubular steel for services and structure.

beautiful stadium from atelier hitoshi abe in sendai. we were shown around by two very kind and helpful young architects. the office was impressive also. they were working on a huge model of a resort. uber cool.

In front Toyo Ito's office

the new Toyo Ito building opened on the 10th of December

Eisenman in Tokyo. Koizumi Lighting Headquarters. The unit had mixed reviews. Overall - the vote would be been more on Eisenman's side if the building would have been grayscale... I think the pink frightened them.
on omotesando. outstanding skin. But just a box. Too overwhelmed by ennui to inspect interior which was univerally considered bit of a let-down. but still v v cool. much better than the mikimoto building.
